Sometimes I want to feel like a princess – not like real Indian royalty with responsibilities or with a role to play in leading society- but the pretend type that just gets to lounge around. That’s why I booked a night at the Leela Palace Hotel in Bangalore.

Random fact💡 CP Nair started the Leela group of hotels with its first property in Mumbai. He named it after his wife Leela. THAT is the standard 🤌🏽

The first thing you notice when you enter the lobby is the large arches. It’s stunning open grounds surround lush couches to lounge around in. Inside, high vaulted veilings with gorgeous chandeliers frame a flute player. The hallways were so peaceful and I love wandering around to find grand staircases. It’s like kid lost in a grand castle vibes- a very aesthetic, cohesive, well designed castle.

A hotel in Bangalore aka the Garden City has lush greenery and a waterfall where guests can walk around-it’s *bliss*

The staff are beyond helpful. They come to you- didn’t even wait in line at the check in desk. Relax + sip on that welcome drink 🥂

Room – Terrace Suite on Floor 1

I barely spent time in the room because this hotel needed exploring lol but it was so comfy. They had a desk to get work done and an armchair near the balcony. I love their terrace rooms because you can walk out to this gorgeous view without even changing outta your PJs.

Pool

I love how relaxing this pool is. Bangalore is just *it*. The staff here are so mellow and friendly but give you space to just vibe. I love floating around here in peace.

I seriously have no idea how I got so lucky being born in the middle of a tropical, thriving city. It always feel good to stay with the fam but this hotel was perfect for a quick luxe staycation. You’re surrounded by lush trees -makes you feel like the city outside has completely vanished.

The Library Bar

Chic and Classy – Abhi loved it because they had some great whisky. I ordered a drink to match my outfit -and it actually tasted really interesting. They have an endless list of beverages to pick from; this menu isn’t even half of it. Right outside the bar and across the halway is also open seating where you can sit and sip your drink. Nothing I love more than a cocktail in a tropical setting.

Food – Eating at The Leela

Breakfast is complimentary and the outdoor seating was so pleasant. Their buffet has everything- not the most authentic food but it’s great for a mild palette. From american to english to Indian, I couldn’t possibly eat through it even if I had hours.

The Asian Fusion spot Zen combined Indian flavors with sushi, sashimi and other Chinese delicacies like Bao. I rarely order Sushi in India but this was the best Sushi I’ve ever had in India 💯
